This month represents the third year of Orc.one. As I've said previously, I've written about it before now, and all of that still applies.

Tags (and hashtags) continue to deepen the site's usability and organization, and more content is being posted all the time.

I wrote a bit less than I would have liked, including retrospectives of this hobby and personal history, but I did a little. The dearth of productivity I ascribe to being busier than anticipated during the past year.

But I did post some:

  • Dice left to me by my father
  • I participated in the 31 Day Character Creation Challenge activity, derived from other social media
  • I reviewed the collection of short stories called Appendix N.
  • Noted which fonts are used in TSR Products
  • Shared a link to old "Wormy" comics from Dragon Magazine
  • Reported on the Babylon 5 reboot
  • Linked to two articles on Dave Arneson
  • Mourned the passing of Chris Achilleos
  • Shared an image of a Grenadier miniature, an unpainted minotaur
  • Alas, I was only able to crank out one post for Game Restart: a retrospective on Dicing with Dragons, a game book and guide to the role-playing hobby from the early 1980s.

In retrospect, this doesn't seem like all that much. It does seem like I could stand to post more.

But that isn't looking forward—2022 is nearly upon us, and I have to give some thought as to how to best proceed. More gaming material might be nice, and I have a lot of ideas for Game Restart blog posts, mostly involving games I haven't played yet. In particular, I'm looking forward to some Call of Cthulhu material, as well as playing some Renegade Legion, a game I've long desired to get into, ever since it was first published.

We shall see how it goes!
