The S.S. Baychimo was a pre WWI, Scandanavian-built german freighter that passed to britain after the armistice. Given to the Hudson bay company, it served the Alaskan and Canadian Arctic as a freighter, mainly for furs and groceries, until it became ice bound in the early 30s, and abandoned as unsalvagable.
