my Pelosi Check came in last night. Today I'm effectively broke. Brakes need work, so tomorrow at *8* am, I have to take ol' bessy down to the shop. I split some money with deb to lay in food supplies (preparing in case a second wave takes down the economy) I really expect there to be food shortages by winter. I paid some money I owed on bills, bought medicine. I gave myself a nice mad money wad...but it evaporated so fast m head spun. I got about a 1/4 of what I'd hoped I could get. :( a few books, three models, and that was it. none of the cool clothes I wanted, no metal (the one deal I found wouldn't ship to Alaska), no toy soldiers... I'm happy that I got to get anything, just amazed at the pains of inflation and how FAST a check can melt away.
