Today I returned to a game store after many many months of staying away in order to help contain the spread of COVID-19 as much as possible. I've been searching for a good candidate for a Friendly Local Gaming Shop as well, to return to the tabletop hobby—with the appropriate social distancing in place.

Unfortunately, I was greatly concerned over the lack of masks and lack of distance by game participants in the store. When I say greatly concerned, I want to make it clear that this covers efforts to protect family from being infected, especially since they have compromised immune systems.

And, last week, someone we knew passed away from COVID-19.

The pandemic is now considerably more personal than a statistic to us, and the uptick in cases in my state since its reopening is all the more worrisome.

I've reached out the store owners, and will communicate my concerns. I feel that this is the best I can do at this time.
