so, this Akihabara diorama is just screaming for mecha; but it's in Z scale; which would be fine except my Battletech models are N scale...so a simple rescaling up would be in order; however the simple coloration of the original would look so much better with phototextures; so I'm recoloring the whole diorama;

from this plan block color style, to this lovely textured version featuring brick, street grime, and iron tree grates.  The third image is a quick and dirty photomontage of all the sheets for the base in relation to one another, to check for texturing  mistakes.   I've fixed the ones that matter, the worst offenders aren't worth fixing because they will be under model buildings.
