Here is an excerpt from Dragons at Dawn, the Arneson legacy system. This gives the magic rules, or system, it's a nice nutshell, and I think it would be a cinch to drop it into my Eldorath Campaign pretty much wholesale.

This is a game I saw advertised in The Dragon fairly often, and heard about from other nerds, never got to inspect or play however.  All I knew then was Metagaming had something or other to do with Steve Jackson...but then EVERY game and publisher seemed to have Steve Jackson affiliation at some time...by the by he is seemingly a nice guy, I had a short email conversation with him once upon a time...early 2000s I believe, funny that I cannot recall what it was in regard too now. Wargaming and figures is all I can remember.

The Spyker in the Pekin to Paris was not 40hp, The Italia was, I suspect either confusion or nationalism has inveigeled it's way into this caption.  Also, "dustless" , as per the advertisement, is unlikely in the extreme.

Well, the "General's" staff car just arrived...super quickly. It is more 1/48 than 1/32 scale, but that works fine as I intentionally use underscale accessories for toy soldier games and set ups...they take up less room. I'll convert a driver, ADC and general from BMC figures, and paint it similar to this one from the Phillipines.

The Army Quartermaster book recommends a cocktail of 9 prts lead white, to 1 part raw umber, and some thinner and japan dryer. Using acrylics titanium white and raw umber cut with alcohol should do the trick. Nez pas?
