These are "advanced" tank prototypes that were being designed and evaluated in anticipation of mass manufacture in US factories in an effort to send massive numbers to France in support of Haigs enormous Plan 1919 offensive. It is very likely that had the 11-11-18 event not transpired the lessons learned in assault techniques, artillery, and tanks, would have brought the much longed for breakthrough against a finally exhausted army, and the capitulation in Berlin would have been unequivocal, kicking the underpinning blocks from the Nazi program, and making a very, very differnt modern world.
