A nice video series on The history of toy/comic/game properties has a great short history of Bucky O'Hare...a Larry Hama creation you may remember him as the guy who wrote the file cards for GI joe, and Transformers, created the characters and wrote the comics for those properties...

the store display features figures on pivots, the figures themselves are wearing the Spanish-American "rough riders" uniforms, molds made around 1900. but strangely in red paint. Clearly for the American market however.
