the store display features figures on pivots, the figures themselves are wearing the Spanish-American "rough riders" uniforms, molds made around 1900. but strangely in red paint. Clearly for the American market however.

German made figures marketed in later 19th century America through multiple outlets, in this case McLoughlin Bros, a New York based lithograph concern of the late 1800s, (1858-1920) that morphed into Milton Bradley.
