A neat subject, Austrians from the 1860s. These are Neuremberg style bleisoldaten, probably by by Heyde. The thin speghetti style arms allow one mold to produce several figure types by simply bending then soldering on accessories . Also notice that the rifles feature a flash of fire from the muzzle, this is a common feature of german figures. The skinny proportions and smallish 45-50mm size economizes on lead keeping them competetive with 54mm hollowcast figures.
so, got a bit of time in today again. Fixed up the sprues, cleaned up finished side, and mixed my silicone, et viola! Finshed side "B" on 4 molds, plus patched the heavy artillery mold, where a bubble in the side reveals the orange plastic of the original. No work tomorrow though, we are going to Candys to clean Moms little apartment since we don't know when she'll get back, and she left it a state.
Got about 2 hours in before dogs drove everyone nuts. Enough to do the A side of 4 molds, mostly air crew and ground crew, some machine gunners and messengers too.
