Appendix N. The Eldritch Roots of Dungeons and Dragons (edited by Peter Bebergal) is a collection of short tales, poems, and even a brief bit of sequential art that highlights the inspiration of D&D, originally published in 1974.
So, Marty Abrams, the son of the founder of Mego, has been churning out New Mego figures for a few years now. I have all the bridge crew but Scotty; so Sulu, Checkov, Kirk, Spock, Uhura, and also Pike. In addition I have a salt vampire, a Gorn captain, and this month I might pre-order Kang!, based on Michael Ansara's klingon character! Sadly I missed the diamond select re-release of the bridge Playset, which has gone from 100 dollars to 500 ish.
a new, still in the box MEGO toy!? Wow. If it was unpacked ever, it was put back in the box perfectly... this would have made someone's Christmas Morning memorable.
Modiphius' new Star Trek RPG is a big glossy expensive hardback book set. It is also pretty popular. I don't care about the rules though, I think Starships and Spacemen is an ideal offering for the genre. But I AM intrigued by these boxed sets of TOS figures in classic "armymen" 54mm size. This works well with 1/48, 1/35, and 1/32 scale models. The full line concenrates heavily on Next Generation era, but these two sets of TOS figures are good.
