circa 1978, Heritage brought out the first Star Trek RPG, under a strange license arrangement involving Lou Zocchi and Franz Joseph and not directly from Paramount, with the Motion Picture coming to,screens lawyers for Paramount smelled money in the wind and decided to tighten up the licenses for the previously haphazard and baroque property, Heritage-Custom Cast had just tooled the miniature line and entered production, causing a legal mess and financial disaster for the garage sized company.
Germany pioneered "German" Composition, a non-toxic material formed from wood flour (finely ground wood or cork) mixed with oleo resins, pressed into a mold, and baked. This produced a cellulose based plastic like material that takes paint well. It was linked with both celluloid development and the origins of linoleum (the real incredible super durable miracle floor, not the modern vinyl imitation) in German chemical industry, and so was a way station on the way to modern plastics and chemical industries.
