Via @YoDanno on Twitter: an alternate cover for the Cook D&D Expert set. Rough and unfinished, but it offers a glimpse into what could have been.
Oh I look forward to reading this. Thank you Bri for my copy!
Clash of the Titans, 1981, last of the Harryhausen films. Saw it originally in a theater in or near Elmendorf Air Force Base when it first came out. As I child I coveted (but never received any of) the toys.
I've been watching the Sinbad films with visual effects by Ray Harryhausen.
These are pure cinematic comfort food.
Back in 2019, I received an animation cell from the Crusher Joe OVA as a Christmas present from a friend who collects animation cels. (I'd intended to write about this sooner, but projects and other events intervened.)
This month represents the third year of Orc.one. As I've said previously, I've written about it before now, and all of that still applies.

So Bri shared this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/173875799296?hash=item287bce2500:g:FwQAAOSw~jNZY-hw
Which got me to wondering how to get ahold of more Crusher Joe model kits. This is a pretty costly kit of the Cordoba from the movie, but it comes with a small Minerva to get things in proper scale: https://www.ebay.com/itm/224372078722?hash=item343d9e3882:g:xTgAAOSwytZgPy-2
Maybe someday.

It's perhaps about time I talked about this book, written by Ian Livingstone with illustrations by Russ Nicholson, which was published originally in 1982, but didn't cross my path until '86 or '87. It also might have been redundant, given that I was already familiar with role-playing games, but this was bought during a period of my life when information was a lot harder to find than it is now, and I was really intrigued by the fact that here was an entire book on the topic.
